Project Features:

  • The architectural layout also draws on the cultural characteristics of the ancient capital of Xi'an, highlighting the main axis of the airport. The layout of the finger corridors around the terminal building and the satellite hall emphasizes the main view, shaping forms to display momentum, creating images with meaning and expressing meaning through images, demonstrating the design concept of the "Grand Hall of Chang'an".

  • The main body of the terminal building adopts the configuration of "main building + six finger corridors". Such a design can maximize the number of near gates, allowing passengers to board the plane directly without taking a shuttle bus. In addition, the length of the finger corridors has been moderately compressed. The walking distance from the center of the terminal building to the farthest boarding gate is no more than 600 meters, and the walking time is less than 8 minutes, which can effectively improve the travel and flight experience.

  • The East Terminal Building is the second in the world, after Daxing Airport, to adopt the functional process organization of double-deck departure and double-deck arrival. It enables domestic and international originating passengers to depart on the same floor without the need for floor transfer, comprehensively improving passenger comfort.
