  • Product description
    • Commodity name: Tuned Mass Damper

The Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) is a structural vibration system primarily composed of stiffness elements (springs), damping elements (dampers), and an inertial mass, which is generally supported or suspended on a structure. When the structure vibrates due to external excitation, it causes the TMD system to vibrate along with it. The inertial force generated by the TMD system reacts back onto the structure. By tuning this inertial force, it coordinates with the vibration of the main structure, thereby reducing the dynamic response of the structure, enhancing structural comfort, and lowering structural fatigue damage. Currently, widely used damping units include viscous damping units and eddy current damping units.

This product is developed in a customized manner. Its appearance, performance and various detailed features are all determined according to the specific requirements of each individual project. In view of this, in order to fully demonstrate the cost-performance advantage in the project, it is recommended that for the specifications and parameters of products for specific projects, in-depth communication and confirmation should be carried out in a timely manner with professional engineers from Safetyinside during the initial design stage of the project, so as to accurately match the project requirements and achieve the construction and implementation of the optimal solution.
