Key project perfectly delivered: Customized seismic isolation solution for Sinopec Tianjin Nangang 1.2 million tons/year ethylene project

The 1.2 million tons/year ethylene project in Tianjin Nangang is a major project invested by Sinopec in Tianjin, with a total investment of over 30 billion yuan. It includes the construction of more than ten sets of production facilities, including high-density polyethylene, linear low-density polyethylene, and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. The project site was determined in 2021 and after 2 years of construction, it is planned to be put into operation in the second half of 2024.
This project is led by a 1.2 million tons/year ethylene plant and extends downstream along the C2 and C3 product chains, including a 1.2 million tons/year ethylene plant, a 150000 tons/year butadiene plant, a 90000 tons/year MTBE/butene-1 plant, a 500000 tons/year pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation plant, a 300000 tons/year aromatics extraction plant, a 500000 tons/year HDPE plant, a 300000 tons/year LLDPE plant, a 100000 tons/year ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMEPE) plant, a 100000 tons/year polyolefin elastomer (POE) plant, a 200000 tons/year alpha olefin (LAO) plant, a 130000 tons/year acrylonitrile plant, a 300000 tons/year PP plant, and a 300000 tons/year acrylonitrile butadiene styrene resin (ABS) plant. Necessary public works and auxiliary facilities will also be constructed.
This project adopts a special seismic isolation design, with a short construction period and complex technology. SAFETYINSIDE responded actively in the first place after winning the bid, synchronously starting production work such as drawing deepening, material procurement, processing scheduling, and product testing; During the product delivery phase, SAFETYINSIDE actively cooperated with testing and other units, conducted flow testing, synchronized delivery, and ensured the on-site schedule, ultimately achieving perfect delivery. This project uses 390 sets of high-quality seismic isolation rubber bearings specially customized by SAFETYINSIDE for the energy and chemical industry.
